SmugMug Help is Here!

My wife (an instructional designer) and I have been toiling for some time coming up with outlines, organization and flow for a new series of video tutorials we’re creating. We’ve released the first one which covers everyone’s favorite topic: Categories, Sub-Categories and Galleries.

I’d LOVE to get some feedback on the video; the first one is always the toughest! So, watch the video and leave some comments below. These videos will be free forever. We will be offering a DVD once we have the entire series completed. It’ll be in a format that’s easily transferred to your iPhone to watch on your commute, etc.. But, that’s a bit down the road.

    Dave – Your video series on how to do things in Smugmug are great! Even thought I have had my Smugmug site for 4 years, there are features I do not use often. Your Category/gallery lesson was perfect timing for me since I needed to do multiple galleries for one week long event I did.

    David, I thought your video was very helpful. I now have a better idea of the inner workings of SmugMug. However, I do have one question that I could not find anywhere on this site (unless, of course, I missed something). I’m helping my mother figure out how to link to her categories (and subsequently, her sub-catergories and galleries) from her homepage navigation bar, but cannot, for the life of me, figure out how to do it. I tried amandatapley.smugmug.com/galleries and it didn’t work. Nothing works and it’s making me feel like SmugMug isn’t very user-friendly. What’s the deal?
